La Terre in the Architects’ Journal

We are pleased to announce that we has been featured in Architects’ Journal for our project, “La Terre.” This rammed-earth house showcases our commitment to sustainable design and construction methods.
“La Terre” is situated in the beautiful countryside of Surrey and has received planning approval. The house incorporates stabilised rammed earth (SRE) as a sustainable building material, seamlessly blending with the natural environment.

Inspired by the iconic Farnsworth House, “La Terre” features an elevated ground floor and carefully designed steps that connect the indoor and outdoor spaces. The incorporation of Japanese gardens in two atriums enhances the harmony between nature and architecture.

We are excited to embark on this project, as it represents our first low-energy house and our exploration into earth ship construction. By utilizing stabilised rammed earth wall construction, we aim to create a home that integrates with the surrounding land, a structure to be sculpted from the land on which it is sits.

Stay tuned for updates on the progress of “La Terre” on our website.
