CONCEPT
THE THEORY BEHIND THE FUNCTION
In 1903 an English mathematician called Henry Ernest Dudeney worked out how to turn a perfect square into a perfect equilateral triangle by dissecting the square in to 4 distinct shapes, these shapes can be rearranged to form the triangle. The D*Table utilises this formula by combining the mathematics and movement to create a functional adaptable low table.
DESIGN
8 POSITIONS AND INFINITE POSSIBILITIES
Inspired by mathematics, D*Table is a fully functioning 3d puzzle that translates its form into a fully flexible and adaptale low/coffee table. The white cube-like form can be transformed into the triangle, showing off D*Tables' clean lines and flexible geometries. Long sweeping movements create a sense of energy in the table that invites the user to inteact with it. D*Table can be celebrated as the centre piece of a room or is equally suited to sitting along a wall on in the corner of a room.

FUNCTIONALITY
PRACTICAL AND DIVERSE
Functions literally unfold as the table is opened. Great as a storage box when in square formation, D*Table can hide your every day life away inside its inbuilt storage. As the table is made up of four individual units, each with its own purpose, every part of D*Table has a unique functionality. We have given these modules names in the forms of the primary colours:
RED
The smallest unit "red" can be used as a shelving unit, it has a hole in the top that can be used to hold a plant or a champagne bottle, depending on the occasion.
YELLOW
The Yellow unit has been dissected into two long angular drawers that span the length of the unit. Soft closing drawers reflect D*Tables quality, each draw follows the geometry inherent in D*Table, maximising the use of space.
BLUE
The Largest unit in the table, this is comprised of a wide split level shelving space with top surface articulation. The slits on top of "Blue" challenge the conventional coffee table book position, saving space and offering a unique way to display items.
GREEN
The Green unit is a large storage box with folding lid. Great for hiding away items, the "Green" unit offers ample storage, perfect for hiding items away quickly and easily.

Designed in London, manufactured in Denmark, D*Table is a design inspired by mathematics and geometry. We use advanced manufacturing techniques to produce D*Table that take advantages of the latest manufacturing technqiues to bring you the realisation of a century old mathematical formula. During production we ensure that each D*Table has a minimal impact on the environment and produces less waste in the manufacturing process. Every D*Table is made from sustainably source wood, and we refuse to use harmful toxins in our components. We put each D*Table through rigoruous tests to ensure that it meets our environmental standards.

A hole in the top of D*Table that can be useds to hold a plant or a champagne bottle, depending on the occasion.
Removable Hinge
Each of the four pieces of D*Table can be manually detached and used as individual side tables for even greater functionality.
2 Sliding Drawers
Angular drawers that follow the geometry of D*Table span the length of the yellow unit while soft closing drawers reflect D*Tables quality.
Book Slots
D*Table challenges the conventional coffee table book position, saving space and offering a unique way to display items vertically in book slots.
